dj kev chaos
The lead producer at The Inmate Connection is DJ_Kev_Chaos, founder of the organization’s music program. His work focuses primarily on hip hop, R&B, and soul. He produces beats, remixes, and handles mixing and mastering, ensuring every track is professionally engineered.
Music has been Kev’s passion since childhood. As a young DJ, he became immersed in the lifestyle and was incarcerated from 2006 to 2016. During his time in prison, he continued writing music and poetry, studying the music industry, and learning how to run a record label. He absorbed everything he could, from sheet music and songwriting to DJ magazines and music education materials. He dreamed of building a career doing what he loved: making music.
After his release at age 28, Kev enrolled in courses to refine his skills and graduated in 2016 from a DJ and Music Production Program taught by world-renowned artists. Many of his current songs were first written while incarcerated and have since been brought to life with live instruments and layered melodies.
